Deborah Larson Obituary
Sioux Falls- Deborah Larson, 62, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at Lake Poinsett, SD. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls with burial to follow at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, June 26 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls with the family present to greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Deborah Kay Bohms was born September 20, 1950, in Sioux Falls to Alfred and Norma (Snethen) Bohms. She graduated from Washington High School and went on to attend Worthington Community College and Southeast VoTech where she received her LPN. She began working for McKennan Hospital in 1970. On April 23, 1988, she married James Larson. In the 1990's Deborah chose to further her education and graduated from USD with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She continued to work for Avera McKennan until the present. Deb and Jim were members of Wesley United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls.
Survivors include her husband, James Larson; siblings, Margeann (Dean) Dewes, Delbert (Joann) Bohms, Bruce (Cathy) Bohms, and Sheldon Bohms, all of Sioux Falls; and many nieces and nephews. Deb was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Norma Bohms; parents-in-law, Bill and Verna Larson; and sister, Wanda.
In lieu of flowers please direct memorials to the Lake Poinsett Chapel Bench Fund.

I worked with Deb at POP some 10 years ago. She was an advocate of her resident and we had nice visits. So sorry to hear of your loss. I will keep her and her family in my prayers.

She was the head
nurse at my daughters birth.... (kinda funny because she was my cousin :-) ) but nothing stopped this woman.... not even a relative....

My thoughts and prayers are with Deb's family at this difficult time. I worked with Deb for many years at Avera Prince of Peace. She was a kind, very generous, giving person and nurse. May God's arms be forever wrapped around her.

Deb was a wonderful person,always a smile for you. Everybody loved her at POP. She always had a hug for me,and I feel so privileged to be able to wear one of her scarfs that she made. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. She will be missed by many!
