Jay Stout Obituary

Jay Stout

Lead, SD - Jay E. Stout, 66, died Saturday, August 10, 2013 in his home.

He was born March 7, 1947 in Sioux Falls, SD to Joseph and Dorothy Stout. Jay lived life to the fullest in everything he did. His Band, The Bleach Boys, toured with Dick Clark in the late 60's and recently was entered into the SD Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. His bands included Arlie's All Stars, Cross The Line and The Slate Creek Band. Playing drums, riding snowmobiles, and loving the Lord were his passion. Jay had a heart of gold and always gave until it hurt. He ran Stout Plumbing and Heating for 40 years, and helped build many schools and businesses. He retired in 2004 and moved to the Black Hills.

Jay is survived by his son, Jesse (Felicia) Stout; two granddaughters, Mya Baca and T'naya Ramirez and girlfriend, Cindy Bernard. Both parents, and daughter, Jeannie Ramirez preceded him in Death.

Jay's favorite Bible verse was 1 Corinthians 13:13 from the King James version - "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." We miss you Jay, and know that you are resting in peace.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Calvary Chapel - 1605 W 51st St. Sioux Falls, SD

Deepest sympathy to Jay's family. We lost touch many years ago, which is such a shame. We were very close when children, even though we lived in Pipestone and Jay, Janet, Uncle Joe & Aunt Dorothy lived in Sioux Falls. I have thought about them many, many times over the years.

Jay, my man, rest in peace. I knew you over many years as a business advisor and friend. You always were fun-loving and faith-filled. If we didn't talk for awhile, you would just call and tell a joke or a funny story. You taught many lessons and sometimes you spoke. I wish your dear friend, Cindy, Jesse, your special granddaughters and your entire Family every blessing and grace from God..

My sincere sympathy's to Jay's family and friends. My very first job out of college was at Stout Plumbing & Htg, and I have many cherished memories of the 10 years I shared with Jay, Jan and Joe. I thank you for that. God Bless and keep the memories.

Jay was a wonderful blessing in my life and for so many others. We were very close, his and Cindy's calls were always the ones I looked forward to. No one will ever replace him and the precious gifts of maturity and wisdom that he shared with me throughout these years.

Rest in peace my friend. In our youth we roamed the back roads of the Midwest with our band The Bleach Boys. We were happy, care free, energetic and full of fun playing our music. That is how I will always know you. God bless you, your family and all who love you for ever and ever more. You now have eternal peace.

Rest in peace my good cousin. Although we had seen nor talked to each other in years I still thought of you often. My sympathies go out to your family and dear friends. Tom Stout
