Marcus Blom Obituary
Inwood, IA: Marcus James Blom, 10, of Inwood, Iowa, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at his home from injuries sustained in a farm accident. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 14, at 1:00 PM at Netherlands Reformed Congregation with Rev. E.C. Adams officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery of Rock Valley. Visitation, with the family present, will be Monday, February 13, at Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley from 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Netherlands Reformed Christian School. Condolences may be left for the family at www.porterfuneralhomes.com.
He is survived by his parents, Brian and Cynthia Blom of Inwood; 2 sisters, Michaela and Madison Blom, both of Inwood; 2 brothers, Matthew and Micah Blom, both of Inwood; paternal grandparents, Cornie and Bev Blom of Corsica, South Dakota; maternal grandparents, Jim and Mary Van Surksum of Rock Valley; paternal great-grandfather, Joe Van Der Brink of Sioux Center, Iowa; maternal great-grandparents, Richard and Mary Van Surksum of Rock Valley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
