Myron Elrod Obituary
Myron E. Elrod age 71 died Monday, August 14, 2017.
Myron worked for Lewis Drug Inc. for 42 years as a support person for all the stores and the corporate office.
Grateful for having shared his life are his three children: Eugene (Heather), Jamie (Colleen), Jason (Michelle); seven grandchildren, Mazie, Isabelle, Joseph, Lexus, Dylan, Maximus and Kaitlyn; several nieces, nephew, cousins and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph, his beloved wife Carol; his parents, William and Marilyn Elrod and a sister, Denise Elrod Murray.
A private family graveside service will be held. Memorials may be sent to Myron Elrod memorial fund at PO Box 89813, Sioux Falls, SD, 57109. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

We shared some of the best high school times ever, all of which still remain fond memories to this day -- especially the fumble recovery for a touchdown. At least 95 yards.(gets longer every year)

Dear Eugene, Jamie and Jason, Joe and I were saddened to hear of the passing of your dad. Gene was a wonderful, kind and caring person and both he and your mom Carol were two special people who really did make a difference in life. We were fortunate to have shared a friendship and have many memories of happy times and sad ones too. You boys and your families have our prayers and deepest sympathy. Time heals many things but love in your heart for your parents stays forever, along with all the memories of two lives well lived.

Gene was such a great competitor and friend. We shared many matches in raquetball over the years, but most of all we shared a wonderful friendship. God Rest old friend.

Fallen Limb
A limb has fallen from the family tree.
