Nelda Vellek Obituary
Sioux Falls - Nelda Vellek, 87, of Sioux Falls, SD, passed away with family at her side on Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the Sanford Foundation Hospice Cottage.
Grateful for having shared her life are children Debbie (Larry) Castro, Oceanside, CA, Terry (Vickie) Vellek, Sioux Falls, SD; grandchildren Marissa Castro, Oceanside, CA, Matt (Meegan) Vellek, Elkhorn, NE, Mark Vellek, Sioux Falls, SD; great-grandchildren Camden, Carsen and Cohen Vellek, Elkhorn, NE; sisters Shirley (Bob) Wiese, Lila Rae Jamison, sister-in-law Hattie Vellek; very special friend April whom she loved as her own; and many other relatives and friends.
Nelda was preceded in death by her husband Leo Vellek, parents, infant grandson Terry Jr. and sister Beverly Winter.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First Congregational Church and Children's Home Society.
The family will be holding services at a future date.
