Ruth Mehlbrech Obituary
Sioux Falls, SD - Ruth Ann Mehlbrech, 81, passed away on March 28, 2021 at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, SD.
Ruth was born in Adrian, MN on August 24, 1939 to Elmer and Clara (Peterson) Rust. She married Arthur (Bud) Mehlbrech on March 18, 1960. Ruth was a beautician for more than 25 years in many different nursing homes in Arizona and Bethany Lutheran Home.
She is survived by her four daughters, Charla Mehlbrech, Shirley (Donnie) Bell, Glenda (Mark) Gaffer, Karen Van Vooren and one son Gary (Nita) Mehlbrech; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
A funeral service for Ruth will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Heritage Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at the funeral home.

I loved Ruth Ann so much!! She and I worked together doing hair at Good Shepherd Villa in Arizona. She taught me much over the years and I will always treasure her friendship.
She especially loved the music of the Gaithers and we would have that playing in the shop. It was a wonderful time. I can still hear her laugh and see her smile. Even though it’s been years since I’ve seen her, I will miss her greatly here on earth, and am thankful to have been her friend and to have spoken to her recently.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May God grant you the peace that only He can give.
