Clyde Samuel Grafe, 92, of Weiser, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2024, in Boise. Clyde was born May 31, 1931 in Wilcox, Arizona. His father, Charles James Grafe, married his mother, Janet Elizabeth Boots, in Arizona where they farmed and trapped in Cochise County. Clyde, one of five children, moved to southern California in the 1940's.
In 1950, Clyde graduated from Narbonne High School in Torrance, CA. He married his high school sweetheart, Vivian Mary Sellers in 1951. They had two children, Cheryl Anne and Michael James. Clyde went on to be a rancher near Alturas, California and married Bonnie Elizabeth Dubois in 1964. With Bonnie, Clyde had a blended family of three children: Kristi Elizabeth, Ralph Hartman, and one child they had together, Cynthia (Cyndi) Suzanne.
In 1969, the family moved to the Oregon Slope near Weiser, Idaho. There, they farmed and ranched until they sold their Oregon place in 1978 and moved to a farm along Cove Road near Weiser. Clyde and Bonnie divorced in 1980 and Clyde later fell in love with Sharon Lee Edwards, whom he was with until her death in 2018. Sharon had two daughters, Brenda Lee Dale and Stacee LaDonna Ash, whom Clyde loved as daughters.
Clyde greatly enjoyed farming, raising horses, and wildlife habitat conservation. He became an avid pilot and even built two airplanes. In his later years, Clyde delighted in his place overlooking Mann Creek Reservoir and restoring classic cars.

He is predeceased by his father (Charles "Jim" Grafe), his mother (Janet Boots), his brother (Loy Grafe), and sister (Anett Hamilton).

Sorry for your loss to the whole Family !!! Clyde was a great friend for many years to my Family. Starting back in 1960 when he brought a horse from us. His name was Velvet Baker. I trained some other horses for him to. Clyde and my Dad Jim Hackler were close friends through out the years. I remember when Clyde took my oldest son in the combine and let him drive . It was the biggest thrill for him. R.I.P. CLYDE you will always be remember and missed
