Edith Langley Obituary

Edith Ann "Eydie" Langley was born January 2, 1950, in Nyssa, Oregon, to Bonnie Lee Whipple Corfield and Harold Joe Corfield, Eydie grew up with a sharp mind and a creative soul that would define her life.
After graduating from Nyssa High School in 1968, she married Doug Wheeler and later had two children, Chris and Nicole.
Eydie began her career as a hairdresser, bringing to it the same artistry and precision that shaped everything she touched. When a car accident required her to change paths, she reinvented herself, earning her master's degree in elementary education from Northwest Nazarene University and pouring herself into teaching.
In the classroom, Eydie was unstoppable. Her students felt seen, challenged, and cared for. Many still remember how she believed in them long before they believed in themselves.
A woman of fierce determination and remarkable talent, Eydie brought the same devotion to her personal pursuits. She taught herself to paint, approaching each canvas with discipline, study, and an unrelenting eye for beauty. She loved flowers, organization, and the quiet satisfaction of creating something beautiful through effort and vision.
Eydie lived her life with purpose and precision, and those who knew her will never forget her strength, intelligence, and unmistakable presence.
Eydie married Jim Langley on June 21, 2008. Our favorite song , God heals the Broken Road; tells our story. After Eydie retired, they moved to McCall and enjoyed the mountains for several years. They sold the house and bought a motor coach and traveled extensively before settling in Middleton.
Eydie is survived by her loving husband, Jim, son Chris (Rachael) Wheeler, daughter Nicole Wheeler, sons Aaron (Nita) Langley and Spencer Langley, and daughter Katherine (Adam) Drozek, grandchildren Katelyn Dee Turner, Colton Christopher Wheeler, Cody David Wheeler, Benji Langley and newest granddaughter, Emery Langley, great-grandchildren Oliver Turner and Madeline Turner, and sisters Merry Corfield and Terry(Kent) Bowers. Also, her uncle Kenneth Whipple, aunt Leah Rookstool, very special nieces and nephews, and many cousins whom she loved.

Earlier today

Eydie was such a lovely woman. We both worked in the Nyssa School District, but I didn´t get to know her until we both retired to McCall. She was kindhearted with a strong
Christian faith. She will surely be missed. Love and condolences to you Jim and her family.
