Kenneth Perkins

1940 - 2026

Kenneth Clare Perkins passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 28, 2026, in Ontario, Oregon, at the age of 85.
Kenneth was born on May 4, 1940, to Everett and Claudine (Teal) Perkins on a farm north of Ontario. He spent his early years working on farms in Ontario and outside Vale, Oregon-experiences that instilled in him a strong work ethic that carried through his life and career. Kenneth worked in the automotive industry as a mechanic, salesman, and auto detailer before retiring in the Weiser, Idaho area.
He married his high school sweetheart, Susan Kessler, with whom he had three children: David, Danny, and Debra. In 1977, Kenneth remarried Myrna (Broadbent) Perkins and helped raise her daughter, Lori Conrad.
Kenneth had a deep faith and lived his life guided by devotion to Jesus. He was known for his kindness toward the elderly, often pausing his work to lend a helping hand whenever they called. A passionate singer, Kenneth frequently performed in local concerts. He cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, organizing Christmas pizza parties and family gatherings at Water's Edge Resort in Cascade, Idaho.
He is survived by his brothers Don and Tom; son Danny; daughter Debra; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Everett and Claudine Perkins; brothers Jim, Bob, and Roger; sister Sandra; stepdaughter Lori; son David; wife Myrna; and granddaughter Danielle.
A small memorial service will be held in the spring in accordance with Kenneth's wishes. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
