Barbara Ann Raspotnik, age 78 of Ashland, WI passed away peacefully on Oct 3, 2025 at Tamarack

Health, Ashland Medical Center in Ashland, WI. She was born May 8, 1947 in Milwaukee, WI the

daughter of Edward H. and Bernice A. (Wappler) Hartz. Barb enjoyed farm life in Exland, WI and later moved with her family to Hayward, WI.

She was a lab technician when she met the love of her life, who whisked her off her feet via his Harley-Davidson. On Apr 12, 1969 she was united in marriage to Steve E. Raspotnik, together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter and countless memories and hundreds of thousands of miles of travel by plane, ship, car and motorcycle.

After graduating with a B.A. in Psychology from UW-Superior, she put her degree to good use as a social

worker for Ashland County. For her social work was never just a job - it was a true calling, she had a kind and compassionate heart and her work gave her the opportunity to express her deepest desire: to help others. Trough her dedication and care, she touched countless lives and truly made the world a better place, one person at a time.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve E. Raspotnik of Ashland, WI; her loving son, Steve L. Raspotnik and his fiancee, Missy Murphy of Neenah, WI.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Bernice Wappler and other loved ones who welcomed her into eternal rest.

A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank Tamarack Health for their kindness and care and her caretaker, Cindy, for her loving care.
