Loreli Sann Obituary

Loreli "Lori" Sann

May 24, 1941 - August 25, 2025

Loreli "Lori" M. Sann, age 84, of Ashland, passed away peacefully, Monday, August 25, 2025 at her residence.

She was born May 24, 1941 in Woodruff, WI, the daughter of Lewis and Rose (Behrend) Stone. Lori grew up in Lac Du Flambeau where she attended schools. She later attended WITC in Ashland where she received her CNA license.

As a young girl she enjoyed playing outside with her siblings and friends. She especially loved dancing and you could find her outside the little convenience store dancing to the music they played when she went shopping with her mother. She also became a babysitter to many of her nieces and nephews, She enjoyed watching them and caring for them. Watching them grow up and kept in contact with many of them.

On June 27 1961, Loreli married Anthony Sann Sr and together they had three children. Anthony Jr, William and Carrie. The couple lived in Flambeau, Land o Lakes, Phelps and then moved to Ashland in 1979. They were married for 52 years until Anthony's passing in September of 2013.

Loreli worked as a nurses aide at various nursing homes, hospitals and peoples homes for over 30 years. She loved caring for people. She also sold Avon for many many years. She was a member of the Harbor Lights Baptist Church, her faith and Christian beliefs were very strong throughout her life.

She has many things she enjoyed. Camping with her husband was priceless time spent together. Music and dancing at every given opportunity. She loved plants, flowers, crocheting and needlepoint. She also loved being in the kitchen and cooking. Her potato salad and coleslaw were always requested at every picnic and church functions, along with her delicious thumb drop cookies. As kids we remember coming home from school to the smell of fresh baked bread. She was always very social and looked forward to seeing family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Anthony Sr, son Anthony Jr. and siblings, Frank Stone, Roger V Stone Sr, Sarah "Sally" Jacobson, Shirley "Harriet" Deinhamer, Edith "Chee Chee" Rehm, Louis Stone, John "Johnny"Stone and Rose M. Blomberg.

Loreli is survived by one sibling Louise Solvang, Tampa Florida, her children William(Shonna)Sann and Carrie(Randy) Anderson, two grandchildren Jeremiah and Ciara Anderson and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at the REM Assisted Living home and Hospice in Ashland for their professional and caring service in taking care of our mom.

Heartfelt sympathy to Loreli's family. Lori's smile always brightened my day when she arrive for a clinic visit. I am sure that smile will be missed by all she cared for and by the family.
