Sylvia Sechen Obituary
Sylvia T. Sechen, age 93, of Ashland, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at the Northern Lights Nursing Home in Washburn. She was born on February 15, 1930 in Moquah, the daughter of John H. and Anna V. (Chromisky) Mesik.
Sylvia worked most of her life as a waitress at the Best Western motel in Ashland. She was a diehard Minnesota Vikings fan and also loved watching wrestling on television.
She is survived by two children, Gary (Mary Hudson) Sechen – Ashland and Colleen Stibbe – Ashland, 3 grandchildren, Stephanie Preasha – Tampa, Fl., Kyle Stibbe – Ashland and Conor Stibbe – Ashland, 2 great-grandchildren, Tonio Stibbe and Kyler Stibbe and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Anton Sechen, a son, Dennis F. Sechen, siblings, James Mesik, Elsie Kramolis, Onie Johnson, Bill Mesik and an infant brother, Francis.
Per Sylvia's wishes, there will be no funeral services held.
