James DeGray Obituary

JAMES STUART DEGRAY James Stuart DeGray of Denton, Kansas, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2025. He was born January 16, 1945, to Robert & Katherine DeGray in Rochester, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Shelby & Maryann, brothers Bobby & Stuart, and foster daughter Nicole. He is survived by his sister Audrey (Bob) Boos and brother David (Betty) DeGray, beloved niece Jennifer (Dennis) Sharp, nephews Will (Robin), Brian & Tony Corlett, and multiple great nieces and nephews. He was divorced, with one child of the marriage Carrie Ann. He retired to Florida in 1989 and then moved to Kansas in 2014, where he volunteered as a Diabetic Instructor for the state of Kansas and was a Second Harvest volunteer. He visited Florida twice yearly to be with his loving foster family of over 35 years, Linc, Megan, Baily, Zach, Virgina, Rachel, and Caroline. His consistent sense of humor and jokes will be greatly missed. There are no services planned at this time. Family service will be at a later date. Memorials can be made in his name to the Doniphan County Health Department/Home Health, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or Wounded Warriors.
