Matthew Dillinger Obituary
Matthew James Dillinger passed suddenly on the evening of Sunday, November 27, 2022, at the age of 39 in his Odenton, MD home.
Born to James and his late mother, Pamela Dillinger, in 1983 in Athens, OH, Matt served in the Army National Guard from 2001 to 2010 where he was honored with 5 unique medals & awards. He received his Bachelor's degree from Franklin University in 2009 and Master's in Business Administration from Ashford University in 2017. In October 2011, he married Elyse, and together they raised two beautiful children, Westin (8) and Avery (5).
In addition to 3 domestic Army tours and his career at Raytheon, he passionately coached Westin & Avery's soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams. Matt was a loyal fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes which he enjoyed watching with his wife and kids. He is remembered as a talented home chef, a loyal patriot, and caring friend with a keen sense of adventure.
Matt is preceded in death by his mother, Pam. He is survived by his wife, Elyse, his 2 children, Westin & Avery, his father, Jim, sister, Megan Kidd, Nephew, Kyler, and many friends and family members who loved him.
A public funeral service will be held on December 4, 2022 at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie, MD. Visitation will take place from 1 - 3 pm followed by service and military honors. In lieu of floral arrangements, the Dillinger family would be honored to receive donations for Matthew & Elyse's children's college funds. A private burial service will take place at a later date.
