Patrick Linscott

1952 - 2018

NELSONVILLE - James Patrick "Pat" Linscott was born to James Dean and Mary V. Linscott on July 5, 1952.
He was a lifelong resident of Nelsonville and graduated from Nelsonville-York High School. For many years, he was the principal of Linscott Music Centers. Prior to his passing, he worked at Lowes in Athens, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James D. and Mary V.; and grandparents, Dean and Myrtle Linscott, and Sam and Hanna Thomas.
He is survived by his brother, Michael Linscott (Mary), who resides in Centerburg, Ohio.
Recently, Pat had an unfortunate fall resulting in surgery for a broken hip. Unfortunately, he was not able to overcome ensuing complications and passed quietly and in comfort late Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio.
Pat's greatest joy was to share his life with his friends. Friends were a very important part of his life, and he loved being a part of the Nelsonville community. He also derived happiness from NASCAR, and fishing on Lake Erie.
Pat will be cremated and, in the future, there will be a small burial service with an "End of life Celebration." Both will take place in Nelsonville, and when the date has been determined, notice will be given.
