Joe, Mike and Family,
I was very saddened to learn of your loss. I have fond memories of Shirley during my teen years. I remember her making me feel welcome the very first time I visited your home. I moved away from Nelsonville a few years after high school, so I lost contact with most of the folks I left behind.
But I remember Shirley.
You are all in my heart and in my prayers.

Mike, Joe & Family,
This new is heartbreaking. Shirley was such a precious lady to so many people. Knowing her first as my East End neighbor, then as your Mom, dedicated community member and later as a devoted volunteer at Doctors Hospital of Nelsonville and TWIG 8 Member for many years, she always brought joy and fun to my life. I will cherish each memory I have of her stories of her family that she loved so very much and her many adventures as a young girl.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Grace, peace and love to you all.

Mike and family, Cathy and I are saddened by the passing of your mother. We hold you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. It is difficult for a son to lose his mother, in the coming days and years you will remember her lovingly.

I met Shirley when she became a member of the Women of the Moose 997 in Logan. I took an instant liking to Shirley and her dear friend Shirley Coakley. I told them they were my Shirley’s.
May peace be with Shirley’s family and friends. Reflect on fond memories and gather comfort from them. Cullen and I extend our sincere condolences.
Truly,
Kellie Rutter
