Sue Rankin Obituary

Chauncey Sue A. Rankin, 85 of Chauncey passed away Monday January 13, 2025, at her residence. She was born May 9, 1939, in Chauncey, the daughter of the late Harley and Vera Lester Wallace. She retired from Chauncey Elementary School and studied at Columbus Business University. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Rankin of Chauncey; five daughters, Sherry Rankin of Athens, Sandra (Keith) Baker of Boca Raton, Florida, Salena (Dave) Bobo of Millfield, Susie (Joe) Pavicic of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sally (John) Butcher of The Plains; 10 grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Phillips, Amanda (Tim) Smith, David (Samantha) Bobo, Joseph (Cayley) Bobo, Christopher and Matthew Bobo, Brandi (Matt) Snedden, Cori (Kayla) Butcher, and Codi Butcher; 15 great grandchildren; and a brother, Dan (Candy) Wallace.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Madoline Rankin; a brother, Dave Wallace; and a sister-in-law, Sue Wallace.

She was the heart of her family and will be missed every second of every day.

At Sue's request she will be cremated and there will be no services observed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morrison Funeral Chapel, Glouster-Bishopville. A message of comfort may be sent to the family by visiting the tribute wall at www.morrisonfc.com. Sue Rankin

Sorry to hear the passing of Sue. She was in our bowling league for years. Always had a smile. She will be missed by many.
