Orange, MA — Jonathan L. Granquist, 29, of Town Farm Road, died unexpectedly on Thursday night at Alliance Health- Leominster Hospital, after being struck on I190 in Sterling.

Born in Hyannis on December 16, 1991, he was the son of Dana J. Granquist and Jane (Lancaster) and step son of Linda (Rybnikar) Granquist and grew up on Cape Cod until age 14 when he and his family moved to the Athol-Orange area.

Jonathan worked for Hot & Cold Energy as an installer. He previously had worked at the Templeton Salvage Yard and for Curtis Excavating.

Jonathan had his hydraulic license and loved driving and working the big machines.

An outdoorsman, Jonathan loved driving his dirt bike and quad, as well as spending time at Carb's Hot Rod Club in Athol.

Survivors include his father, Dana Granquist and his wife, Linda, of Orange; his mother, Jane Lancaster of Nashua, NH; his sons, Anthony Lindstad and Adam Lindstad, both of Orange, and Carter Dunn of Athol; a brother, Joshua Granquist of Orange; sisters, Ashley Carroll and Raven Berry, both of Orleans; a niece, Velouria Carroll of Orleans; paternal grandfather, Nils Granquist of Weeks Mills, ME; uncles, aunts and cousins; as well as many friends.
