Merton E. Talbot, 75, of Athol passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. Merton was born in Royalston on October 11, 1945, son of Arthur L. Talbot and Davine (Brewer) Talbot. He grew up in Royalston and moved to Athol at 60 years old. He worked for Rodney Hunt as a foundry worker for 51 years. He enjoyed cars, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Donna Saxby of Athol; four brothers, Melvin Talbot of Royalston, Arthur Talbot of Orange, Ralph Talbot of Warwick, Steve Talbot of Orange; three sisters, Sandra Donahue of Orange, Rosella Talbot and Davine Talbot both of Baldwinville; grandson, Jonathan Abram of Athol; four great grandchildren, Emily, Aiden, Oliver, and Shelby; as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at 11:00am, Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol. Calling hours will be held Monday, February 15, 2021 from 5-7 pm, Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange.
