Dear Shinall Family,
My computer brought up your mother's memorial entry this morning and gave me some sweet memories and thoughts about her and your Dad and your family. I know they are dearly missed. I well remember being neighbors and our parents being long term friends as well as our being patients of your father. I am grateful for those wonderful moments of recalling the halcyon years of our families' friendship as well as my having an opportunity to try out my fledgling babysitting skills with Phil and Mary Alice. I am sending you warm thoughts and hope that all is well with you and your families.
My best,
Suzanne Hopkins Blievernicht

Dear Phil, Mary Alice, Rich, and families,
We were saddened to learn of your mother's death this past week. We have many wonderful memories of being neighbors on Artwood. We lived at 957, just 3 doors down. Your parents and ours were good friends and we were always treated so kindly by them. I recognize your Mom from this photo although I remember her jet black hair vividly. She aged gracefully. Please accept our sympathy at her loss in your lives. She was such a wonderful woman and partner to your equally wonderful Dad. I'm sure that they and our parents are having a joyful reunion catching up with each other. you will be in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days.
With warm regards,
Suzanne Hopkins Blievernicht

Mary Alice, Rick and Phil my condolences to your family and I will miss my twin. She showed me new ways of getting around Decatur and always told me to "stay to the yellow." Mrs. Shinall was a great Lady and a teacher with great wisdom.
