Dr. Andrew C. BELL

BELL, Dr. Andrew C. Dr. Andrew Clifford Bell died on July 28, 2016 at his home in Shreveport, LA where he was a medical resident in Ob-Gyn at the LSU Medical Center. He was born and grew up in Decatur, Georgia, and attended Guilford College in Greensboro, NC. He was a manager at Chic-Fil-A in Decatur before returning to Guilford to complete his degree. He completed the Post-baccalaureate/pre-med program at Agnes Scott College. He then attended Mercer Medical School in Savannah, GA graduating in May 2015. Everywhere Andrew went caring, generosity and gifts of food abounded. Andrew was preceded in death by his beloved aunt, Gwenn Legters of Sommerville, MA; he is survived by his parents, Drs. Charles and Gail Bell of Decatur; his beloved brother and sister-in-law, David and Roselani Bell, his two adoring nephews, Beau and Asa and his aunt and uncle, Kathy and Dr. Frank Bell, all of Atlanta. He is also survived by cousins Dr. Katherine Hill and Allison McCorvey as well as John and Ann Christopher and their children and grandchildren. A memorial gathering was held at his hospital in Shreveport on Friday, August 5, 2016. Another memorial service will be in the Julia Thompson Smith Chapel at Agnes Scott College at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 13th; a reception will follow in the Bullock Science Center Atrium at 3:15pm. Private Interment will be at the Decatur Cemetery at a later date. The family requests no flowers, food or visits at this time; lasting memorial plans will be announced at a later date.
