Andrew was a beloved son, brother and brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, grandson and friend. He enjoyed playing, watching and coaching baseball-especially with his nephews-and was an enthusiastic Atlanta Braves fan. He was a lifelong animal lover from the moment he got his first pet. His family and friends will always remember him as a loyal, generous, fun-loving person. Andrew is survived by parents Sarah and Ray Mock; sisters Joanna Irwin and Martha Matthews; brothers-in-law Ian Irwin and Carson Matthews; nephews Henry Matthews, Ben Matthews, and Charlie Irwin; and niece Sadie Irwin; all of Atlanta. I was a friend of Andrew's. In our time together, he shared a lot about his past, about his hobbies, and about his family. He would mention his family often in his most earnest moments; he knew that he was loved a great deal. I'm very sorry for his family's loss and that his time in our lives was so brief.

Dear Sarah and Ray. We are shocked and devastated to hear about Andrew's passing. Andrew has always been very special to us. He became Oskar's best friend at AIS, and they had so much fun together. Andrew took care of Oskar and helped him to adjust in a foreign country with a foreign language. All 3 of you made us feel welcome in the US. Many years have passed since Ray and Andrew followed us to the airport when we moved back to Sweden. Oskar still has a baseball in his bookshelf that Andrew gave him. We will never forget Andrew and how much he meant for our family. We cannot image what you are going through.
Please accept our deepest sympathy.

We lived in the same city for only 3 months in 2011. Since that time Andrew's friendship has meant the world to me and has brought me so much joy. We became fast friends but it felt like we knew each other for years. We talked often about life and who we wanted to become. Time nor distance has ever had an effect on our friendship and it never will. You will always be in my thoughts and your laugh will never leave my heart.

Until we meet again-

Drew,
I count few people as true friends, and you are among them. I will remember your kind soul, your ability to listen to me rant incessantly, and our support for each other through everything from school to navigating the California dream. I miss you and love you.

Dear Andrew,
I've missed you since I last saw you in 2011. I was very shocked to learn of your passing when I went to wish you a happy birthday. I have very special memories of you I will safeguard for the rest of my life.
Your sense of humor and laugh were infectious. You were very perceptive of the feelings and needs of those around you. I am blessed we knew each other when we did.
I hope to share with the family of Andrew and with his close friends my deepest condolences.
I miss you, Andrew, and I love you.
