For the past few days, I've thought a great deal about our last conversations. I'm so grateful that Re-Re has always kept in touch (even when I've not been so diligent). What a beautiful spirit! I pray that your memories are as comforting.

Words cannot express the loss and sadness I feel for Aretha's entire family. The joy she shared with me about her marriage and the birth of her baby son was genuine. She believed that God had blessed her and given her so much by giving her such a wonderful family. I pray that you can support, comfort and guide each other in the coming months and times ahead, knowing that the Lord promised us that he would be with us every step of the way. May loving memories of happy times with Aretha sustain you all.
