Dr. Saks was a good friend to me. I don't know if he ever talked about me to his famiy because we did a lot of business together. He bought me lunch the first time I approached him to sell him my natural products. When I insisted on buying him lunch he would not let me and he was the customer. What a great man! I have over a hundred emails from him just seeing how I was doing because he was such a great guy. We became friends through business; My father's company Generation+ in Phoenix, AZ.

I just got back in touch with some friends from FSU and was stunned to hear the news that Brett had passed away. I knew him in high school, and we became close friends in college. We lost touch since then, but some of my favorite college memories included Brett. My heart goes out to his whole family.

Saks Family:

My wife and I just learned of Dr. Saks passing. To put it mildly, we are devastated. Dr. Sakes changed my life. He helped every one in our family. My girls, my wife, my in-laws, my friends. He healed me, them and all. Words cannot describe the sadness we have. Leah and I were going to call him to set an appointment to go see him for both myself and my daughter today when we learned of the tragedy. I cannot begin to think about the loss you have endured. Know that he influenced so many and made their lives so much better and that we will take his lessons and apply them for the rest of our lives and keep his legacy alive. May he rest in peace.

The Brett I knew was a lot different than the Dr. Saks most of you knew. For one, he had a full head of hair back then. We were in a band together in Tallahassee when he went to FSU. A few years later, he was the best man in my wedding.
The thing that that I remember about Brett that never changed over the years was his drive and determination when he made his mind up to do something. When he set his mind on what he wanted, he was like a horse with blinders on. He only saw the finish line, only to succeed. I don't think Brett knew the word failure.
When I received the news of Brett's passing, I felt a heaviness in my heart that I don't think I've ever felt. A truer and trusted friend I don't think I'll ever find. A husband and son with so much in his future, taken so young in his life.
My sympathy goes out to Kim and her children, Cathy and Larry, Jody, and all others related to Brett. He will continue live on in all of our memories.

Saks family,

When I received the call about Brett's passing it took my breath away. He and I had recently got back in touch after many years apart. We spent many a day in high school listening to music, making tapes using his dad's reel to reel and working together. I will miss him and am so proud of his accomplishments and the job his parents did in raising such an amazing man.

My best to everyone,
Eric Loehrmann

Especially to Cathy and Larry, I also lost a son riding a bicycle. It's tragic that such a wonderful man is no longer here to continue the work he'd been doing. I know all of you who loved him will miss him beyond words. I understand the pain you are feeling and will pray that you somehow manage through each day....

In my view, Dr. Saks was a true hero. When I first met Dr. Saks in 2003, I had this strong feeling that my life would be forever changed, and I would finally know the way to overcome a severely damaging disease that had taken over my life for many years.

After seeing many doctors who had dismissed my issue as anything but the real problem, Dr. Saks knew right off the bat what was causing my issue; and, together, we spent the next few months working together on a special diet and therapy program that literally saved my life.

Since then, I have told my amazing, almost miraculous story to many friends and strangers--not only to raise awareness about my issue, but mostly to praise a man who truly cared about helping me conquer my problem and therefore live FREE again.

My heart and thoughts go out to Dr. Sak's family, and may they always know that Dr. Sak's legacy will truly live on--not only in our memories, but in the knowledge and freedom we have gained from him in order to champion his cause and help others live a freer, healthier life too.

Dear family and friends of Dr. Saks,

A few months ago, I had the opportunity to speak to Dr. Saks on the phone while ordering some products. I was surprised to find out that he was processing my order, and was impressed by his personal touch. We had a pleasant conversation that was also quite helpful regarding my mother's arthritis. Dr. Saks suggested some other remedies; and told me about his newsletter, to which I later subscribed.

I was saddened to read about his passing - so young and vital - a kind and helpful person.

Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss.

He loved you and his children beyond measure. You will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

Dear Kim and Family,
I am truly saddened to know of the loss of Brett. What a great and carrying soul, Brett connected with everyone, he always had some common ground. He and I shared the love of music, and sports. I knew Brett from Marcy and Lisa Dionisio, having done some work for Brett. I found Brett to be full of energy but always collected, and truly a genuine person with a zest for life. This is a tragic loss for everyone, and Kim, you and your family are in our prayers, please accept our deepest sympathy.

My Dearest Kim, Aaron & Ana,

Brett would never believe I am at a loss for words. I have opened this page many times in the past week but no words would come. I sit in prayer and silence reflecting on the wonderous gift of laughter and comedy that Brett always brought to our lives.

You were the light of his life. We never met without him showing me a new Ana and Aaron picture or telling me a new story of the joy the three of you brought to his life.

I wish you peace in the months ahead and love from the hearts of all who mourn with you.

Love and Laughter Always,

Dearest Kim, Aaron, Ana, Aunt Cathy, Uncle Larry, Jodi, Brian and Patrick,

No words can ever express the pain you're feeling… We all loved Brett so very much. Words alone cannot do justice to describe the man he was and how many lives he touched. We are devastated over the loss of such a kind, caring, brilliant and devoted man. Brett's life was “rich” in substance and he contributed so much in his short time here. His life was a tribute to what he held dear: his beautiful wife, children and family, his steadfast belief that helping people was his purpose on earth, his carefree style and unrelenting humor, his entrepreneurial spirit.

We are so sorry we could not be there to hold you and comfort you. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you constantly. We often do not say the words that we feel, but we love you all so very much; we will always be here for you. We pray that time will find a way to heal the pain. May you find comfort in your memories of Brett, a true Renaissance man. Ricky loved him like a brother and was so proud of him. Brett was such a positive influence in all our lives. We always looked forward to and enjoyed the time we spent together.

In this time of great sorrow, be proud of the many accomplishments Brett achieved and difference he made in the lives of so many. May his spirit live on in all of us. May you see his twinkle in Aaron and Ana’s eyes. During this difficult time, there are two things we can take comfort in… Brett made this world a better place and his legacy will live on.

We love you all very much.

Dear Saks family,

I am devastated. I am in denial. I loved Brett. I went to F.S. U with him, was in Chi Phi with him, and went to Chiropractic School with him. He is honestly one of the best people I have ever met. He was always a man of his word. If he said he would be there, he was there. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He was so talented and accomplished. Husband, father, doctor, healer, author, inventor, lecturer and for me a great friend. He was one of my only friends that could make me laugh...a real deep down belly laugh. He was one of the only people I know that could quote funny movie lines better than me. I love him and I will miss him so much. Kim, I love you. Angie and I will always be here for you, Aaron and Ana.

To the Saks family,
I am so incredibly saddened by the loss of Brett. I knew him when working in Arizona in medical sales. He quickly became a friend and someone who I had a great deal of respect for professionally. I will never forget his joy for his children...smiling and telling me stories about Aaron who would awaken happy in his crib reciting new words he had learned "truck" "tree" "balloon".....as Brett listened from another room and smiled.....I have a young son of my own now and think of Brett and his stories of love so often as we create stories of our own....

Dear Kim and the Saks Family,
When I heard of Dr. Saks' passing I was devastated. Sarah and I just couldn't believe that this heartwarming man had come into our lives and suddenly was ripped away. We were so sad. We had only known Dr. Saks for a little while but he had made such a profound impact on our life and the joy and happiness he showed in our little newborn daughter Lilah was just beautiful. We went out to the service and I suddenly realized as I listened to person after person tell remarkable tales of joy, love and compassion about this man, that I was no longer sad. See we had only gotten to know the tip of the iceberg of this wonderful being and seeing how loved and admired he was by the people who truly new him, we were quickly overtaken by joy that we were blessed by the shining light of Dr. Saks albeit for a brief time. He would always introduce himself as Brett but I held him in such regard for all he knew and his willingness to share, that I always called him Dr. Saks but I also considered him a friend. We will miss you Dr. Saks but we are so grateful to have gotten to know you. God Bless and God Speed, Mike, Sarah and Lilah our little Glow Worm.

A loving brother and faithful friend
A devoted husband, father, and son
The memory of him will never be done.

Kim and family,
I was saddened to hear of your loss. Please know you are gently held in thoughts and prayers. Not just mine, but from many others, including classmates from JP Taravella, class of 1986.
