Calire Shapiro Obituary

SHAPIRO, Claire

Claire Shapiro, of Sandy Springs, GA, died November 13, 2025. Claire was the proud and loving mother to three boys – Peter, Scott and Glenn Shapiro; the joyous grandmother to six grandchildren– Mackenzie, Kendall, Daniel, Brooke, Lainey, and Leni; and great-grandmother to Charlotte. Claire was a devoted and loyal wife to Barry for 47 years, who predeceased her October 31, 2013. Claire touched so many with her vivacious personality, selflessness, and commitment to positively influence those that she encountered. She was born in Hartford, CT, on October 4, 1932, to Morris and Dorothy Dressler. Claire spent most of her adult life in Miami, after graduating from University of Miami, teaching multiple foreign languages at South Miami High in her younger years and Gulliver Prep in her later. She also assisted Barry, at Mohawk TV. She enjoyed tennis, cards, reading, bingo, volunteering, and most of all living life like a dream! We will deeply miss her. She rests in peace at Arlington Memorial Park, Sandy Springs, GA.
