GRAHAM, Sr., Carl S. Carl Samuel Graham, Sr, a nonagenarian, passed away at his home in Lawrenceville, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born on March 1, 1922 in Bennettsville, SC to James Boyd and Margret Freeman Graham. He met Annie Mae Snow in Wilmington, NC, and they were married October 14, 1944. Carl was an executive with CSX railroad and a great entrepreneur. While working for the railroad and raising his boys, he owned and operated a drive-in movie theatre, gas station, photography studio, and a bar & grill. He loved learning and generously inspired young people and peers alike to accomplish great things. He taught typing classes, ran for Georgia state legislature, attended law school, and ran the 6.2 mile Atlanta Peachtree Road Race at age 76. He was survived by his wife of 71 years, Annie Mae Graham, who passed away 3 weeks after him. He is survived by his son Jim Graham (Donna), Daughter-in-law Jean Marie Graham, 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings and son, C. Samuel Graham, Jr (Sami). He will be remembered as a statesman who loved life and people, but more importantly a pillar and Godly example to his family "Clan Graham!" A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 3pm at New Bridge Church, 1446 Calvin Davis Circle, Lawrenceville, GA 30043.
