Carol Morrissey Obituary

MORRISSEY (Kelly), Carol Ann

Carol Ann Morrissey, 91, of Dunwoody, GA, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday December 16, 2024 at All Saints Catholic Church, Dunwoody, Georgia. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow. The interment will be on Tuesday, December 17, at Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Sandy Springs, GA for family, but all are welcome. Arrangements are by H. M. Patterson Funeral Directors.

Carol was born in Yonkers, NY to Loretta (Flanagan) Kelly and Thomas Kelly on December 20, 1932. She attended Gordon High School in Yonkers. Carol was married to Robert F. Morrissey, the love of her life, on September 26, 1954 in Yonkers, NY. She worked as an Administrative Assistant at Alexander Smith Carpet Company in Yonkers, NY.

Carol, a devoted wife and mother, moved with her family to Dunwoody, Georgia in January 1970 and built many lasting friendships through her love of bridge, tennis, water aerobics, Church Circle and other community activities.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Morrissey; her parents, Thomas and Loretta Kelly; and her brother, Robert Kelly.

Carol is survived by three children, Brian Morrissey, Dennis Morrissey and Ellen Morrissey, (Bill Cooper); and grandchildren, Kate Morrissey, Margaret Morrissey and Natalie Hughes.

The family of Carol Morrissey wish to extend their sincere thanks to Holbrook of Decatur for the wonderful care she received during the last two years.
