My Uncle Cecil leaves a lasting legacy. He was one of the few remaining from The Greatest Generation. His love, loyalty and service to America during WWII and beyond is only surpassed by his devotion to his family. To Al, Cerie and Marie we share your loss but as has been said your Father is safe in God's hands reunited with the love of his life, my Aunt Barbara. Before you three children were born Barbara and Cecil were surragate parents for all the cousins in Macon. They brought us gifts and spent time with us. Uncle Cecil always got fireworks for holidays and we all anxiously awaited the next chapter in the serial stories he wrote for us. My visits to Sandersville and Tennille during several summers to play with my baby cousin Al will never be forgotten. Cecil was the sweetest Uncle ever. He was loved by all and will be sorely missed but always remembered for the great patriot he was and above all the loving husband and father.
