Cheri McLeod Obituary
Family-Placed Death Notice
Mrs. Cheri Wooddall McLeod, age 60, of Swainsboro, GA (formerly of Fairburn) passed away on Monday, August 6, 2007. Mrs. McLeod taught First Grade for 30 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was director of the Music Makers Children's Choir, a member of the Hand Bell Choir, the Sanctuary Choir and was a past Girl Scout leader. She was a member of the Emanuel County Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph McLarin Wooddall and is survived by her husband, Jack McLeod, Swainsboro; daughter, Ann and Brian Rogers, Swainsboro; son, John and Stacey McLeod, Raleigh, NC; mother, Barbara C. Wooddall, Fairburn; sisters, JoAnn and Sammy Orr, Fairburn. Kathy Nicolosi, Fairburn. Laura LaFore, Tucker; brother, Jack and Peggy Wooddall, Fairburn; grandchildren, Andrew, Joshua, Abbey, Bethany, Caleb & Anna Larin McLeod and Cason, Dustin, Evan & FaithAnn Rogers; 11 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 9, 2007 at 4 o'clock at the First Baptist Church of Swainsboro with remains placed in state at 3 o'clock. Dr. Robert Blankenship and Rev. I was fortunate to have shared my childhood with Cheri in Fairburn - through elementary school, Brownies, Girl Scouts, high school.
