Clarence was the heart and soul of the Vaughn-Jordan Foundation and will be greatly missed by all of us trustees. I always enjoyed a special bond with him as "former legislators" and enjoyed our many political discussions. My prayers are with Roland, Alvin and his family. I regret not being able to be there with the other trustees. God bless.

Judge Vaughn's wisdom and character are traits which all judges should wish to emulate. Even after his retirement, he graced the courts of Rockdale County by setting for vacationing judges. He will surely be missed.

Alvin, Roland, Susan and Paula,

I have known your family from birth. Mom (Leona) helped to raise Alvin and Rowland. I remember Mr. Vaughn and his orchids for Easter from the time I was 4 years old. When I was a little girl, I used to think that he was the most handsome man alive. Being all grown up and serving on jurys where Judge Vaughn was presiding was always intriguing. My family will never forget the kindness shown by Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn throughout my childhood. Your father was one of the most honest and upfront people that I have ever encountered. His countless contributions to society and people in general will never be forgotten and will always be appreciated. God Bless You all.

This is truly a sad day for the Courts and Rockdale County. Those of us at the Probation Office who worked for Judge Vaughn feel as if we have lost a Grandfather. We are very thankful "The Mighty Oak" left acorns to carry on the fairness and justice he taught us.
