It's with a heavy heart that I'm sharing the passing of the love of my life, Cory McHenry. Cory passed away on June 20, 2025, on our 33 Wedding Anniversary.

Cory was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 28, 1966. Her family relocated to Smyrna, Georgia in 1971. Cory fought a 13-month courageous battle before succumbing to Interstitial Lung Disease. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Margot Pavuk; her biological father, Joseph Lively; sister, Glorida Thibedeau; brother, Chuck Lively; and her stepbrother, Larry Pavuk.

She is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Thomas McHenry, of Acworth, GA; her daughter, Kristin Eastwood, of Ashland City, TN; stepchildren, Colleen Davis, of Marietta, GA, Colin McHenry, of Woodstock, GA, Alexis Morton, of Bedford, MA and Jon McHenry of Aldie, VA; her sisters, Jeannette Croker, Tina Griswald and Nikki Matznick; her grandchildren, Kaitlyn Meade, Madison Bernstein, Caleb and Miles Eastwood, Tommy and Layla McHenry, Theo Morton, Carter and Livy Davis; and two great grandchildren, Henry Meade and Jonah Bernstein. She was the favorite aunt to her nieces and nephews; they were all very close to her heart.

Cory's career as an insurance professional was marked by decades of managerial and executive positions in both the Property & Casualty and Life & Health Insurance fields. She was a role model and mentor to many young people coming into the industry. She took great pride and was most proud of their successes and achievements.

She loved her dogs, to travel and our beach house in St. Augustine. She was an avid reader and took up art and coloring after her illness, she was always doing something to keep herself busy.

She will be greatly missed by all that knew her, she had an unfiltered honesty and sharp wit, but behind that bold exterior was an exceptionally kind, generous and compassionate woman.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Cory at a later date.
