POTH-NEBEL, Cynthia Marie "Cindi" On Tuesday, April 3, 2018 Cynthia "Cindi" Marie Poth-Nebel, loving mother, daughter, and wife passed away at the age of 50. Cindi's life began in Hartland, Wisconsin, in a comfortable lakeside bungalow. She spent her child and adolescent years water skiing, sailing, and horseback riding before attending the University of Wisconsin at Madison, double majoring in history and French. There she met her husband and best friend, Pete. She inherited her grandmother's passion for care and nurturing, and pursued a degree in nursing. After graduating in 1995, she and Pete moved to Georgia, where she began her career in healthcare at Northlake Hospital. There, she helped create and implement the Meditech information system. After Northlake, she worked at hospitals in both Dunwoody and Johns Creek. She left nursing to take care of and be present for her two daughters, Emmie and Olivia. Meanwhile, she immersed herself in the Decatur community, serving on PTA boards and volunteering for a support group for victims of sexual assault. Cindi is survived by Pete, Emmie, Olivia, her mother Theresa Poth, father Tom Poth, stepmother Donna Poth, and her loving extended family and friends.
