I am really sorry to hear that David died before I did. He was a year and a half younger than me, and we were friends a neighbors, when we were children. David did come to my house a couple of years ago, but I never heard from him again.

There are so many great memories I will remember sharing with David. He taught me how to play "Mr. Bojangles" on the guitar at an early age. We traveled to Africa together in 1987 and had one of the most memorable trips ever. I still tell stories about that time and always get a laugh. I always considered David a part of my family. He will be missed by all that knew him. Condolences to the entire Berkhan family.

I cannot begin to tell you the heart break I felt when Dad called me with the sad news of David's passing. He was such a dear family friend that he felt more like an Uncle to me. I bought my first home in Edinburgh Estates, Tucker... literally right around the corner from the Berkhan house. Our friendship grew even stronger as I'd frequently drop in on him and his dogs. I loved hearing his stories, going to eat at Matthews, sharing in a joke or two, but most of all hearing him laugh. I will forever fondly remember him calling me "Rick-O" as he was the only one who did. David was loved and he will be missed. My sincerest condolences go out to Robbie and the rest of the Berkhan family. God bless.

Love, Rick Tilley

My heart aches at the loss of David. He was a very important part of my life and especially my granddaughter Amanda. He was known as Da-Da in our family and we enjoyed him and his humor. He spoke numerous times of the "many manisons" and I am sure that he is in one today. My thoughts and prayers are with Robbie, Earl and the rest of the Berkhan family. We will certainly miss Da-Da.....Much love, Sue Roberts Haney
