Family-Placed Death Notice
DENNIS LAWTON Dennis F. Lawton, age 73, of Roswell, Georgia died January 5, 2007, after battling pulmonary fibrosis. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn of 46 years; 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Son, Stephen and Deanna Lawton, grandchildren, Ryan and Katie, of Austin, TX; Daughter, Laura and Kevin Hirsch, grandchildren, Emily, Brendan and Bryson, of Roswell, GA; Son, Jim and Jennifer Lawton, grandchildren, Ansley and Jonathan of Canton, GA; sisters, Mary Jo and Bill Leitholf of Pittsburgh, PA, Pat Burns of Pleasanton, CA; brother Eugene Lawton of Pittsburgh, PA. Denny is also survived by many close and dear friends, who supported him through his illness. Mr. Lawton was a metallurgical engineering graduate of Carnegie-Mellon Univ., Pittsburgh, PA and a retired Regional Manager of INCO Alloys Inc./Spec. Metals. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of St. Peter Chanel Church and Brookfield Country Club. A funeral mass with reception following will be held at St. Peter Chanel on Mon, Jan 8th at 11:30AM. The family will have a private interment at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the American Lung Association, 2452 Spring Rd SE, Smyrna, GA 30080 or the Assistance League of Atlanta, PO Box 80769, Chamblee, GA 30366-0769. Dear Marylin and Family,
I want you to know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I am one of Laura's friends and had the great pleasure of getting to know you and your husband over the last several months. He will be deeply missed. Unfortunately, we will not be able to attend the service hnbut please know that he is in a much more glorious place and is watching over you. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know.
