Dan, it is deep sorrow to learn of your family's sudden and tragic lost. You always talked about your son with a broad smile on your face and the joy you obtained from coaching him in his sports. No words can ever provide solace in this dark hour; but take comfort that God saw fit to bring Devin to a special place in his Kingdom. I am so sorry for your loss I never got to meet Devin or any of you but I feel like I knew him through Fawn, George, Georgie & Nina and I know that they love you all so much. As hard as it is I'm sure his Grandma Diane will take good care of him in heaven. When I heard about this tragic story, I instantly was overcome with sadness. I didn't know Devin or his family but you don't have to know a family personally to feel their pain. Devin is with the Angels of Heaven now and is so happy. As an alumni parent of Factory Shoals as a community we must stick together. Devin and your family will stay in our prayers. My heart is filled with sadness for the loss of your son. Devin will be missed by all of the students & staff at Factory Shoals Middle School. I've only heard positive comments about Devin since we learned of the accident.
It is so hard to understand why this woud happen to such a sweet child, but God has a plan for all of us. We must have faith that we will understand this mystery one day when God is ready to tell us.
