Dear Joyce & family,
Please know you are not alone-Many share your sorrow who were fortunate enough to know Don and call him friend. Don was a true gentleman, a wonderful Christian, and a loyal friend. He loved God and his family and he made a difference in all the lives he touched. He was such a blessing to me, and he will not be forgotten. I have many happy memories of church at Harmony Grove with the Chewning family.
When I think of Don, this scripture comes to mind. 2 Timothy 4:7 " I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith".
Praying for your peace and comfort. With Love.

Dear Mrs Chewing, Richard and Susan,
You have my deepest sympathies during this time. I have heard it said that faith is more caught than taught. Solid, stable, strong Christian leaders, like Mr. Chewning, in church and community have “caught” countless people. I know, having been a part a Harmony Grove many years ago – the impact is so strong. You have my thoughts, prayers and love - Jeff

Joyce, You, Richard & his children have my deepest sympathy. Don was, as well as Mr. Wick, Ms. Hattie & Bobby, a very large part of my growing up years. Also your mother did her part in molding me. I am thankful that I had all these wonderful people to help me grow. Memories are precious.
