Don Harp was my minister when we met him at the Methodist Church in Doraville, Ga. My wife and I were immediately attracted to him. He was different. He was young with lots of energy. He was great in the pulpit. He and I played tennis a lot. I couldn't beat him. He was good. So sad to hear of his passing.Randy Jones, Daphne, Al.

The world lost one of the greatest men ever! He was so personable with everyone from a CEO to children and everyone in between!
If you were fortunate enough to know him, he was unforgettable!!!
We were so blessed to be at PRUMC for his beginning years.
He was exactly what he said about me, “What you see, is what you get!”
Needless to say, we loved him dearly.

I remember my diagnosis of cancer. For a mutual friend I had called Don and told him of my news. The next day I arrived at 5:30 in the morning to report for surgery. I was surprised to realize I wasn't the first one at the hospital. Don was already there waiting for me. I know he is waiting again, this time I will not be surprised.

I am so saddened to hear of Don’s death. My family and I met Don when he was Pastor at Northwoods UMC. My father, Bill Williams, was the choir director then. He and Don shared many happy times, including fishing and golf. Don officiated at both my wedding and the wedding of my sister. After retirement, my dad and Mom, Marguerite, followed Don to Peachtree Road UMC until my Dad’s death in 1989. Don officiated at Daddy’s funeral. When our family thinks of wonderful people, Don and Mary Ellen top the list!
