Family-Placed Death Notice

Edgar Wedrell Vann, 67, of Doraville, GA, died January 12, 2008. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 14th, at Crowell Brothers Peachtree Chapel Funeral Home in Norcross. Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Vann, a U.S. Army veteran, was a 1958 graduate of Buford High School and attended Truett-McConnell College before entering the Army, and was the owner/operator of Town Car Service for seventeen years. He is survived by his wife, Clara Christine Vann of Doraville, GA; sons, Dr. David Edgar and Jodi Vann of Newnan GA, Bobby Lee Davis of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter, Dana and Stacey Crain of Gainesville, GA; brother, Billie "Bill" and Irene Vann of Douglasville, GA; grandchildren, Zachary, John Matthew, and Davis Vann of Newnan, GA, Lindsey, Emily, and Haley Crain of Gainesville, GA.
