Rev. Edwin Oakey Sorrells, 82, of Toccoa, Georgia, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, an employee with Wabco for 31 years before his retirement, passed away at Stephens County Hospital on Sunday, December 24, 2000. The family will receive friends on Monday, December 25, 2000, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., at Acree-Davis Funeral Home Hillcrest Chapel, 350 South Pond Street, Toccoa. Further visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, December 26, noon to 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, 2 p.m., at the funeral home, officiated by Reverends Mike Westbrook and Roger Elrod. Interment will be at Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery. At other times, the family will be at the home of Richard Sorrells, Prather Bridge Road, Toccoa. Arrangements entrusted to Acree-Davis Funeral Home Hillcrest Chapel, Toccoa, Georgia.
