Family-Placed Death Notice
ALEXANDER, Elaine Elaine Hildebrand Alexander, 62, of Ellenwood, GA died December 11, 2008 as the result of injuries received in a hit and run incident in downtown Atlanta. Mrs. Alexander was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Howard & Margaret Hildebrand. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Alexander and is survived by her son, David Alexander of Ellenwood, GA; brother Bruce Hildebrand of Mt. Vernon, VA; nephews Keith Hildebrand of Montgomery, AL and Bradley Hildebrand of Fredericksburg, VA, and their wives and children. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Horis A. Wares Fairview Chapel. Interment will follow at the Granade Family Cemetery in Conyers, GA. The family will receive friends Monday, December 15, 2008 from 5 to 8 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281 770-474-1231.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family. Elaine was one of the sweetest people at Atlanta Public Schools. I have known her for about four years and I have come to love, honor and respect her. She had a heart of gold. She will truly be missed by her co-workers. My prayers will be with your family.

I am offering my sincere, deepest sympathy to Elaine's son, brother, family and APS family members. Elaine is synonymous with Atlanta Public Schools and, of course APS Budgets. She was there at 210 Pryor when I was initially employed years ago and she's been there for every budget of every program that I have worked with since...and she has always been pleasant and warm hearted. Elaine's untimely passing saddens me immensely. May her soul rest in peace and God bless each of you and her APS family with all that you'll need to see you through this very sad and difficult time....

There is no words to express how deeply she will be missed. I've worked with Elaine for the past 7 years at APS, and we sat next to each other for last past 5 years. I'm going to miss the talks we had over the years. I know that God has you in his loving arms. I will miss you!!!

To The Family of Elaine:
I was deeply saddened to learn about Elaine. She and I worked in the same APS building for years and years though in different departments. She loved reading novels and so did I. She always had a smile on her face regardless of the situation. I know she will be sorely missed. May God grant you strength during your period of grief.
