I wish to express my sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Ellinas. Although I never had him as a teacher I knew him to be a kind and friendly man while I was at HHS. I am glad he was able to be a small reunion we had in 2003 at the Rec in Hapeville. God Bless your family.

A great teacher, a great loss. He was a positive role model for all of his students. He was especially kind to those of us who challenged his patience. I appreciate him taking the time to visit us at the Hapevile reunion. Condolences to the family.

Mr Ellinas caught my attention with "word problems" and challenged me to understand the usefulness of Algebra. Those lessons helped me tremdously in my business life at Delta Air Lines and later with IBM. I would not have been successful without his encouragement. Thank you for the time he spent with us.

Johnny, Jeannie and Family,
I was sadded to hear the news of your father's passing. I remember when we were attending Sunday School on Pryor Street and he was the father on duty. Such a sweet and gentle man. He always had a smile on his face. Please pass on my condolences to your mother and sister. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
May his memory be eternal.
Love,
Janet

To Eva and the Ellinas family,
As a classmate of Eva and a student of Mr. Ellinas' I was saddened to hear of his death. The years cloud the memories but I remember him as a bright, shining person who always worked to make his students and HHS better. Math wasn't my best subject, among others, but his passion for the subject and interst in his students made it more enjoyable.

To the Ellinas family:
Mr. Ellinas taught me Algebra (or at least he tried to) in the late 60's at Hapeville. He was one of my favorite teachers and I will always remember him. Years later, after I was grown and raising children of my own, I would occasionally run into him and he always remembered me. He was a kind man and I send my heartfelt condolences for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with your family.
Mr Ellinas was a delightful man, always a pleasure to be around.
I know that he will not only be missed by his family and close friends, but by the hundreds of students that he taught.
He managed to keep several of my brothers in line while attending Hapeville High School, and for that I will always be grateful.
God Bless and stay strong.

To the Ellinas Family,
Mr Ellinas taught me in 1954-55. He was an impressive man. He represented what is good in people. He was a good role model then and now.
I had the pleasure of working with his grandson, Steve, at Delta Air Lines.
I wish to express my smypathy to family in the loss of this good man.

I was extremely pleased to see Mr. Ellinas a few years ago at the Hapeville High gathering at the recreation hall in Hapeville. He was an excellently teacher and had a very positive influence on me and all his pupils. I remembered him well when I saw him a few years ago and will forever remember his contribution to all the students whom he taught at the Hapeville High School. His legacy will live on through all his students. His daughter, Eva, was in my class of 1965. I told him when I saw him to send my regards and I now say to Eva that her father is in a better place reserved for extraordinary teachers.
