Family-Placed Death Notice

SLATON, Gary Mr. Gary Slaton, 53, of Jonesboro, GA passed Thurs, 4/18/2013. His services will be held Mon, 4/22 at 1:00 PM, Merrill Chapel United Methodist Church, 430 S. Jeff Davis, Fayetteville 30215. Rev. Richard Gilbert, Pastor; Rev. Earl Arnold, Officiating. Family to assemble at the residence at 12 Noon. Remains will lie in state 12noon-1pm. He is survived by his wife, Gwendolyn; 4 children; 1 grandchild; 2 sisters; 2 brothers; several in-laws; and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, 3pm-8pm, Griner-Ellison Funeral Home, 186 Hwy 279, Fayetteville 30214, (770) 460-5566.
