George Jackson Obituary

JACKSON, George Steven

George Steven Jackson peacefully passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at the age of 75. He was born in Atlanta to the late T. Perry Jackson and Johnie Colley Jackson.

Steve was a devoted brother to, Jennie Jackson Cool, T. Jerry Jackson, and the late, Ben Jackson. He attended Hapeville High School and the University of Georgia. Shortly after graduating from UGA, he joined the United States Air Force. That same year, he married the love of his life, Terri Trundle. They cherished nearly 54 wonderful years together.

After the USAF, Steve joined Delta Airlines and enjoyed a career he took pride in for the next 35+ years.

A loving and caring father, Steve is survived by his daughters, Carol Jackson Klein (David), Shari Jackson Stanley (Cory), and Shelley Jackson Kozlowski (Michael). He was a proud grandfather to Penelope, Sean, Shane, and William. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews.

Steve was a devoted member of Tri-Cities United Methodist Church (formerly Hapeville First UMC). He was deeply loved by all who knew him, and his selfless, caring nature, gentle spirit, and warm smile will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Tri-Cities United Methodist Church, 3510 Atlanta Avenue, Hapeville, GA 30354, on Saturday, October 18, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, with a memorial service to follow at 4:00 PM.

In accordance with Steve's wishes, his ashes will be interred at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, at a later date.
