Family-Placed Death Notice

Gerald Henry Coker, Sr., age 60 of Loganville, GA died April 11, 2005. He is survived by his wife Linda Jean Coker; daughters, Virginia Coker of Jackson, Connie O'Neal of Copperhill, TN, Tracie Sewell of Bethlehem, Kathy Poole of Grayson; sons, Matthew Coker of Bethlehem, Gerald H. Coker, Jr of Los Angeles, CA; mother, Virginia Bond Coker of Christian City; sister, Gwen Hunt of Riverdale; brother, Hershel Coker of Union City; grandchildren, Noah, James, Jaculyn, Courtney, Natalie, Katlynn, Kelsey and Chase. Mr. Coker was retired from First Atlanta (which is Wachovia now) after 20 years of service. He was at BMR as a Financial Consultant, worked and retired from Donald Camp Electric. He was a very devoted member of Sanctuary Baptist Church, US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam Conflict and member of Loganville American Legion. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 14 at 2pm, at Sanctuary Baptist Church with Rev. Rodney Hall and Rev. Randy Ross officiating. Interment Chestnut Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8pm at the funeral home. Those desiring may make donations to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Drive, Social Circle, GA 30025, in memory of Gerald Henry Coker, Sr. Tom M. Wages Funeral Service, Inc., Snellville Chapel, 770-979-3200
