I am a member of the same church Mrs. Geraldine Harris worship. Ms. Gerry (Geraldine) embody a clear example of what defines Christian principles. Given her direct involvement in the church and outside regular church services, I get to join Ms. Gerry at least twice a week at other church related activities such as Wednesday night prayer services, visiting church members who are on the sick and shut-in list. I prefer to remember Ms. Gerry as Mother Gerry based on her unique and rare compassion toward those she meet. She never fail to give me or my son a motherly hug as if we were her children. Everyone she came to know were greeted in similar like fashion. Her deep religious belief is a natural persuasion that never cease to show love, kindness, whether you classify as well-to-do or poor. Beside me, everyone who got know Mother Gerry will disclose a fond memory of her similar to my mine.

My sincere condolences to Ms. Gerri Harris and family. My mom worked with her for over 30yrs., her nickname was screwball. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Aunt Geri knowing the life that you lived, I truly believe that for you. You have left a great mark on this family as well as your siblings. I couldn't ask for a better family. Even though you passed on my birthday, I was sad, but I know that's not how you would want me to be. I will forever cherish the moments from a lil girl to this grown lady that we shared in my lifetime. You have touched so many people's lives and I'm truly honored. Glad my girls got a chance to be in your presence. I always told stories to them of Grandma Florence. After 30 something years, all of her kids are back with her. I am glad to be a HARRIS. Yall keep a watch over us and I pray that we all continue to make each and every one of you proud. May your soul Rest In Peace auntie, until we meet again. You will truly be missed.
Love, Karen Harris
