Family-Placed Death Notice

Gertrue Faye Huddleston Griffin, 88, of Fayetteville, died December 31. 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, V. Ferrell Griffin and great-granddaughter, Hope Lambert Gipe. She is survived by her daughters: Beverly and Zarrel Lambert, Mebane, NC; Faye and C.J. Mowell, Jr., Fayetteville; Elaine and Rick Foley, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Robin Lambert and husband Robert Gipe, Tresa and Scott Childs, Kristi and Tommy Newton, Becky and David Arnall, Beth and Scott Axelberg, Ferrell and Kellie Mowell, David and April Mowell, Melia and Rob Lane and Heidi Foley Conaway; great-grandchildren Daniel & Caroline Childs; T.J., Mandy, Sarah Grace and Sawyer Newton; Rebecca, Madeline, Griffin and Anna Grace Arnall; Blake, Jackson, John-Michael, Abibeth, and Zane Axelberg; Mikaela and Genevieve Mowell; Harrison, Grayson, and Macie Rose Mowell; and Shawn Conaway. Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 2, 2005 at 2:00 PM at the Overton Chapel, Fayetteville First Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Ellis and Rev. Glenn Stringham, officiating. Interment Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Gideons, P.O. Box 498, Fayetteville, GA 30214. Carl J. Mowell & Son, Fayetteville.
