GORDON CAME INTO MY LIFE IN 1966 AND WHAT A BLESSING . HE WAS A MAN OF HONOR, DIGNITY AND FULL OF COMPASSION FOR LIFE ,HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE HAD THE SPECIAL GIFT TO MAKE YOU FEEL AS IF YOU WERE THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN THE ROOM. WHEN GORDON CAME INTO A PARTY HE WAS THE CENTER OF ATTRACTION FOR ALL, HIS GIFT OF GAB AND WITT KEPT US ALL WITH WARM HEARTED SMILES ON OUR FACES.
RANDY HAD THE PLEASURE TO MEET GORDON IN 1986 WHEN WE WERE MARRIED. A TRUE BOND BETWEEN TWO GENTLEMEN BEGAN AND CONTINUED INTO GORDONS LAST DAYS.
GORDON MY DEAR FRIEND YOU WILL BE MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW YOU AND I KNOW YOU WILL BE THERE TO GREET US WITH YOUR WARM MILE WHEN WE JOIN YOU IN HEAVEN
ALL OUR LOVE,
JO ANN AND RANDY

MY DEAREST GORDON.
YOU TOUCHED MY LIFE IN 1966 AND HOW YOU BLESSED ME AND MY CHILDREN. YOU WERE THE ROCK AND THE FOUNDATION. AS I LOOK AT ALMOST FORTY YEARS KNOWING YOU , YOU TOUCHED MY LIFE SO MANY TIMES. HE LOVE YOU SHARED WITH JEFF AND MELISSA AND RANDY ONE CAN ONLY SAY THANK YOU. YOU WERE A GREAT MAN BUT MORE THAN THAT YOU HAD DIGNITY, HONOR AND LOVE FOR ALL THOSE AROUND YOU. NOW THAT YOU GO THROUGH THIS LAST JOURNEY OF LIFE YOU WILL MEET GOD AND HE WILL SAY WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PERSON YOU WERE. I ONLY HOPE I AND MY FAMILY CAN LIVE UP TO ALL THAT YOU SHARED WITH US AS TO THE TRUE MEANING OF LIFE. WE SEND OUR LOVE TO BARB AND THE GIRLS.
WE WILL ALL MEET ONE DAY AND HAVE A CUP OF CHEER.
LOVE,
JO ANN AND RANDY

My parents immigrated the day after the Forbes' family did in 1956 for the same company. Our relationship is one of a large family. Gordon was the salt of the earth and was one of the most gracious and giving individuals that I know. I will miss him, however, what he did in life will live on through many generations. We should be honoured at his presence in our lifetime and pass it to future generations.
