Family-Placed Death Notice

TUNER, Harry HARRY TURNER Harry Turner, age 93 of Snellville, GA passed away March 5, 2013. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Juanita Turner; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Douglas Mills of Peachtree City; son, Kim Turner of Loganville; grandson, Turner Mills and his wife Crystal of Plainsboro, NJ; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Turner was born in Atlanta, GA on February 10, 1920. He graduated from Commercial High School and was a US Navy Veteran from 1942 - 1946. After serving his country Harry went to work with Atlanta Housing Authority for 39 years. He was a member of Georgia Iris Society, a Master Judge and a hybridizer introducing several beautiful iris's. Harry was a member of Snellville First Baptist Church and the senior choir. A Funeral Service Honoring the Life of Harry Turner will be held Friday, March 8 at 2:30pm at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel with Rev. Guy Priester officiating. Interment will be held at Snellville Historical Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 4pm until 8pm, at the funeral home. Those desiring may make donations to Snellville First Baptist Church in memory of Harry Turner. Condolences may be viewed or sent to www.wagesfuneralhome.com. Tom M.
