McCARTHY, Heather HEATHER M. McCARTHY Heather Marie McCarthy, 22 of Marietta died Thursday, July 23, 2009. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home & Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Mike Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta. Heather's survivors include her mother, Stacy Phillips Meacham & her husband Steve of Kennesaw; her father, Tim McCarthy of Cumming; two brothers, Jesse Phillips & Justin Phillips both of Greenfield, IN; maternal grandmother, Velda Gray of Marietta; maternal grandfather, Ray Gray & his wife, Debbie of Leesburg, FL; paternal grandfather, Larry McCarthy of Atlanta; Aunt, Rhonda Gray Curl & her husband, Andy; five uncles, Danny, David, Jeff & Kevin McCarthy; Eric Schaeffer; cousins, Leah Curl, Melissa Curl & Caitlin Schaeffer; best friend, Keri Downey. Contributions may be made in memory of Heather to the American Cancer Society-Cobb County Unit, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd., Kennesaw, GA 30144. Heather-

You were such a beautiful person inside and out! Your smile , your laugh and how you really brought joy into peoples lives. I will always remember you. It was a blessing to know you.

First time we met at o'charleys she said that I couldnt be called Heffer because thats her name and she was older(haha). So she labeled herself as Heff#1 and I was Heff#2. I do love you Heff1 and I will never forget you.

My prayers are with her family and friends. Be strong. We will see her again.

Heather, even though it seems that everytime we crossed each other's paths in life it was negative, it wasn't. Remember taking our trip up to North Georgia and singing our guts out the whole way there? Your voice was as beautiful as you. I know you are an angel in heaven singing your heart out. I will miss Heather. She and I shared a love of peace symbols. She got me a jacket and I got her a shoulder bag that said peace and love.
