Lisa Phillips Sweeting

Horace Sweeting was that rare kind of individual who spoke only when he knew everyone in his audience, and even then he was more comfortable just listening and watching. So very grateful that he accepted me into the family and even more grateful for making his son Merv the gem that he is! He had to have had a lot of strength to keep the upper hand on Merv as a boy; even Merv admits he was mischievous as a child, creating many opportunities for lessons from the "old man" (his phrase, not mine!). Rest in peace, old man, know that we will all miss you but are happy that you were around for as long as you were. May God find favor with all your earthly works and human attributes, and most importantly, for passing them on.
